Calist Reed will be going into her final soccer season in 2024 with lofty goals.
Reed, who scored 16 goals and added a pair of assists as a junior last year, wants to reach
the pinnacle and get all-state honors, and help lead the Warriors to the playoffs.
She’s worked on improving in three areas during the offseason. Reed has been an all-
district selection since her freshman season and was named Glenpool’s team MVP as a
sophomore and top offensive player last year.
“I feel like I have improved most in my footwork and passing. I have also gotten better at
my communication skills on the field,” Reed said. “My strengths include my speed, ball
control, and my confidence on the field. My shot has been one of the areas I have improved
most in over the course of high school.”
The Glenpool captain started looking to USWNT soccer player Alex Morgan as an example
to model her game after.
“My biggest influence when it comes to soccer is the USWNT player Alex Morgan. I started
watching her play four years ago, and continue to study the way she plays,” Reed said.
Reed isn’t sure where she wants to attend college, but she’s been looking at Rogers State.
