VYPE caught up with Glenpool High School’s Chance Watashe to learn more about the player looking to lead the Warriors this season.

VYPE: Chance, what do you enjoy most about being a student-athlete at Glenpool High School?
Watashe: What I enjoy most are the friends I have meet being a student-athlete at GHS.

VYPE: What grade are you in this season and what position do you play for the basketball team?
Watashe: I’m in my junior year and I play the 1 and 2.

VYPE: How is the team coming together?
Watashe: We have a few things we can fix and we’ll be good.

VYPE: What do you love most about being on this team?
Watashe: What I love most is the bond we have. They are my brothers.

VYPE: Do you belong to any clubs or groups at school?
Watashe: I am a member of Student Life.

VYPE: What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have a favorite teacher?
Watashe: My favorite subject is history, and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Reed.

VYPE: This question may be obvious, but what’s the goal for this season?
Watashe: The goal is to make it to the state tournament.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?
Watashe: I would like to continue playing ball in college.

VYPE: What does Chance like to do in his free time?
Watashe: I like to play basketball.
