Coach: Clay Martin
20-21 Record: 11-5
With eight of their top nine players from last season back, Jenks head coach Clay Martin is excited to see what his Trojans can do. “We have a great mix of juniors who play valuable minutes last year and a strong senior class that is eight strong,” Martin says. “We also have a pair of three-year starters returning.”
One of those returning three-year starters is Chase Martin (6-5, Sr.) who will be four-year varsity player for the Trojans. Martin averaged 15.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 4.1 assists last season for the Trojans. He has a couple of scholarship offers already, could see more offers roll in if he continues to improve. Benjamin Averitt (6-5, Sr.) is another three-year starter for the Trojans. He led Jenks in scoring last year with 18.1 points per game and was second on the team in rebounds with 7.8 rebounds per game. Dylan Golightly (6-4, Jr.) is a sharpshooter that is lethal from beyond the arc. He averaged 7.8 points per game last season. Seth Wilkins (6-3, Sr.) is a do-it-all type of player that can play every position on the floor. Other players expected to contribute for the Trojans are Cain Smith (6-1, Sr.), Gron Tata (5-11, Jr.), Alex Dodder (6-3, Jr.) and Carter Mundy (5-10, So.).
