Entering the 2023-24 season, Jenks High School sophomore Evan Goodwin is prepared to contribute and help the Trojans win any way he can. Goodwin said he is proud to represent the Trojans.
“What I love most about being a student-athlete is getting to play basketball at Jenks and just being able to represent Jenks,” said Goodwin.
The shooting guard is known for his ability to hit from any level on the court. Coach McChesney said of Goodwin, “Evan is one of the best shooters in the state and backed that up this summer during team camp.”
The goal for Goodwin and the Trojans this season is the same as every year. There is no settling for second place.
“The goal for this season is to get to state and win it all not settling for anything else,” said Goodwin. “The team is looking good, I like how we all believe we can be great, and we’re always focused and trust the plan.”
Goodwin would like to continue his playing career in college once he adds graduate to his name. Which is why he remains focused in the classroom.
“My favorite subject is history, and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Dillingham,” said Goodwin.
The sophomore said he enjoys hanging out with friends, his girlfriend and playing basketball in his free time.
