Head Coach – Keith Riggs
2021: 12-1
If you only paid attention to the last names in the lineup, you would think some old all-stars came back for the Trojans this season. Cooper Crissup (5-9, 185, Sr.) starts at linebacker where he is a natural fit for the Trojans. Crissup is quick to the ball and rarely misses a tackle. Kaiden Vannoy (5-11, 201, Sr.) joins Crissup at linebacker giving the Trojans a tough tandem to beat in the run game. Another linebacker to watch this season is Jett Calmus (6-0, 175, Jr.). Calmus adds speed and size to the linebacking corps and will certainly make his presence felt this season. Stanford will start in the secondary and you will likely see Walls there with him. Ilias Cooper (5-9, 177, Jr.) helps shore up the secondary giving the Trojans one of the toughest secondaries to throw on. The pressure up front will come from defensive lineman Jackson Standlee (6-4, 238, Sr.). Standlee will get a lot of attention this season but look for Standlee to make his usual contributions regardless. Walls will handle most of the return duties for the Trojans and be the holder on PATs and field goals. This season the coaching staff includes Greg Calabrese, Justin Glenn, Darrell Beeler, Trent Taber, Doug Greenwood, Ryan Boatright, Prince McJunkins, Adam Gaylor, Josh Elmer, Braxton Watters, Jeramie Tew, Tyler Davidson and Nick Whitmer.
