Ramsey Fieker
Jenks High School
Like many Jenks High School seniors, Ramsey Fieker loves representing her school. The varsity soccer player said the culture at Jenks is what sets the school apart.
“My favorite part about representing my school is the culture. I love that Jenks stands for excellence, which makes me strive for excellence on and off the field. I love getting to play under the lights with that crest on my jersey with my best friends and teammates. Nothing beats the feeling of a huge home win and getting to do a handstand around our Trojan head,” said Fieker.
The senior has played soccer since she was four years old. This season Fieker said the team is excited to see what they can accomplish after winning a state title in 2023.
“I am super excited about this season! Our team is coming off of a big win against Norman North, who we played in the state final. That was a huge confidence boost for us because we got to see how good we really are. I think this will be an electric season for us,” said Fieker.
Team chemistry played a big role in their success last season and Fieker said they are looking to carry that into this season.
“My favorite part about my team is our chemistry on and off the field. No matter what we are doing, whether it be a fitness test, bleachers, 120s, or a long scrimmage on a hot day, everyone is always cheering each other on. Our dynamic in the locker room and on the field is unmatched. There is no group of girls I would rather go to battle with,” said Fieker.
Away from the field, Fieker is involved in many activities and is making plans for life after high school.
“Outside of soccer, my mom has always encouraged us to join school clubs, so I am involved in Drug Free Youth, STUCO, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. I am also involved with YoungLife South Tulsa. My favorite subject in school is probably English. My favorite teacher ever has to be my sophomore and junior year English teacher, Mrs. Nadeem. She was always there with a smile and a kind word when I was having a bad day, and she constantly pushed me to be my very best. After I graduate, I am attending the University of North Texas to play soccer and major in Business,” said Fieker.
