Coley Rowton

Kiefer High School

Excitement around the Kiefer girl’s basketball program is building as players like Coley Rowton continue to make plays and put wins on the board. Rowton is one of the guard coach Coons will use this season to help push this team into post-season play. Rowton said being part of this team is special.

“What I love about my team and teammates is they are fun to be around,” said Rowton. “Our goal this season is to make it to the state tournament.”

As a student-athlete at Kiefer High School, Rowton is a three-sport athlete playing basketball, and running track and cross country. Finding a balance between schoolwork and sports is tough, but Rowton is making it happen.

“I enjoy being part of a team. That’s the best thing about being a student-athlete at Kiefer HS. I’m a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and National Honor Society,” said Rowton.

Attending college after high school is something Rowton is planning for her future. The basketball standout said her favorite subject is Computer Applications and her favorite teacher is Shelley Blankenship.

Aside from playing basketball or competing in track, Rowton enjoys hunting, playing the piano, and watching football. She said a big influence in her life has been her brother.

“My brother is a big influence in my life because he’s a hard worker,” said Rowton.
