Hi, what are you looking for?

Glenpool

Q&A with Glenpool’s Alex Holt – Presented by RibCrib

VYPE: What goals do you have for this year in basketball?
Alex: Make it to the state tournament.

VYPE: What has basketball taught you that you use in your daily life?
Alex: It’s taught me that no matter what’s happening in your life you just show up and work as hard as you can no matter what. Give it your all always.

VYPE: What’s your favorite style of shoe to wear in game?
Alex: I’d probably have to say some KDs. Those are my go-to shoes.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Alex: My mom inspires me a lot. She works super hard every single day to make sure me and my brother have every single thing we need. She always makes sure we have everything taken care of, always. That’s what I am inspired to do to my kids one day.

VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in basketball?
Alex: I’d say being consistent, going hard every play, every rep no matter what. A lot of people, including me at times, struggle with consistency. I think that’s the hardest part.

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
Alex: I’d probably say myself personally. My brother plays three sports but I’d whoop him in all three so it doesn’t matter lol.

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
Alex: Definitely football. I wish I got to experience that. I love watching it. I’ve always wanted to play, just never got too.

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
Alex: Definitely “Bubbly” by Young Thug Travis Scott and Drake.
