Hi, what are you looking for?

Glenpool

Q&A with Glenpool’s Stella Edison – Presented by RibCrib

VYPE: What goals do you have for this year?
Stella: State titles in both of my sports, every year I have fallen short and it’s my time now.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Stella: My sport has taught me many things but one of the things I think will last me a lifetime is discipline and learning to take criticism.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Stella: My favorite teacher would have to be Mrs. Klugh from my freshman year. She just left an everlasting impact on me.
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Stella: Probably the people that doubt me.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Stella: I have a few older teammates that have now graduated that left an impact on me, one specifically of the name Garrett Wells. He was a 2x Wrestling State champion. He was always so hard on me, constantly hounding me in the wrestling room during practice and at the time I just found it to be rude and obnoxious. But eventually I realized he was just trying to make me a better athlete and he might not even know he was doing that.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Stella: My favorite part about being on a team would have to be the friendships you create. I’ve met so many new people and created life lasting bonds with people I never thought I would.
VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
Stella: Honestly I grew up in a pretty athletic family, all of my older sisters were
cheerleaders and track runners. But I was the only one willing to break boundaries with wrestling.
VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
Stella: One sport I wish I could play would have to be Rugby! I loved playing football and I feel rugby would be just as fun.
VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
Stella: Matte Black by Suicide Boys.
