Talk to wrestling coaches and fans and they will tell you how important it is having a wrestler at the lower weight classes. Sapulpa High School has a sophomore at 106-113 in Christian Cue, who is looking to make it to the Big House this season.
“My goal for this season is to place at state,” said Cue. “I am a sophomore and I wrestle 106-pounds for tournaments 113-pounds for duals.”
Cue said he loves a lot of things about the sport of wrestling and competing. It boils down to his teammates and the coaches.
“I love the people, and the coaches,” said Cue. “I love how hard we push each other and help each other. I think the team is coming together.”
In the classroom, Cue is focused on making good grades. He said his favorite subject is world history and his favorite teacher is coach Reins. Cue will graduate from SHS one day and would like to become a Lineman.
When he has free time, Cue said he enjoys playing video games, riding his bike, and running.
