Sapulpa High School junior Hannah Tummons not only participates with the varsity cheer squad, she is also a member of the Sapulpa FFA chapter. She first got started in FFA when she was a freshman.
“I always loved livestock and all my friends were in Ag and I’ve always grew up around livestock,” said Tummons.
Tummons currently serves as the chapter secretary and participates in livestock judging. She also shows pigs and goats.
“I love the friendships I have built from FFA. It’s like another family,” said Tummons. “Enjoy every bit of it. Do everything you can in Ag. Even if you are scared do it.”
But her involvement in school activities does not stop with FFA and cheer. Tummons is a member of the softball and tennis teams, STUCO, Key Club and Circle of Friends. Being part of the cheer squad is something special to Tummons.
“I love the bond my cheer team has. I have cheered forever, and it feels like home when I’m with them,” said Tummons. “They always lift me up when I’m having a bad day, or I mess up.”
Tummons said her mother is someone who has always supported her in everything she does.
“My mom has always bent over backwards for me. From taking me to shows to getting me animals to staying up late with homework or just anything,” said Tummons.
Once she graduates from high school, Tummons is planning on attending college to pursue a degree.
“I plan on going to college and becoming a physician assistant,” said Tummons.
