If you love what you do, it makes it much easier to dedicate yourself. Margaux Felty not only devotes herself to what she loves, but she also dedicates herself to everything.
Margaux Felty is a senior at Cascia Hall High School. She is on the cheerleading squad and is an avid sports fan for her high school. When she isn’t cheering, she is either spending time with family and friends, babysitting, or preparing for her future.
Cheerleading is a major part of Margaux’s life, and her love and enthusiasm continue to grow every day. She invests anywhere from 10-15 hours a week to cheering. Whether it be practices, pep rallies, or games Margaux is always cheering.
Margaux finds motivation from her cheer squad and her family. “The dedication and positivity of my team inspire me to strive for excellence,” stated Margaux. She is thankful to have been under the leadership of the graduated captains and hopes that she can be a good leader for the underclassmen on her team.
Margaux has a family filled with strong, independent, powerful women who have served as role models for her. Margaux’s biggest role model is her mother. “Her unwavering faith, altruism, and work ethic inspire me daily. I aspire to be half the woman she is when I am older,” expressed Margaux. Another big role model for Margaux is her older sister. Her sister was named most outstanding senior at the University of Oklahoma and also won the Chautauqua Janus prize. “Her support and guidance have been invaluable,” stated Marguax.
Following high school, Margaux plans to major in journalism and pursue a career in public relations. She has had amazing guidance during her life and she works hard and dedicates herself to everything she does. She will use the lessons and tools she has been taught to succeed in life after school.
