Coach: Kerwin Dees
21-22 Record:14-10
The Rams are no stranger to deep post-season runs and as they enter a new season, they expect to continue that trend this season. Since joining the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association eight years ago, they have been to either the Class A Area finals or to the Class A state tournament. Head coach Kerwin Dees is in his ninth season leading the team and he says that he is looking forward to seeing what his guys can accomplish this season.
“We return four full-time starters and a part-time starter from last season,” Dees said. “The team is dominated by three returning starting guards: Carter Smith, Enre Boshoff, and John Mark Roller. Returning to play forward, Elijah Haney has grown in size and skill in the offseason and looks to be a threat. We also have a challenging schedule ahead of us. We compete in the Pinnacle Conference against Class 3A and 4A teams.”
Carter Smith (5-10, Sr.) is an outstanding three-sport athlete, and he is a solid leader that is strong, tough, confident, and humble. He looks to have a great senior season. Another impact player this season is going to be Enre Boshoff (5-11, Sr). He had a great junior year at shooting guard while leading the team in scoring many games. He is athletic and fast with a quality perimeter shot. He is a player that can help the Rams improve, as he grows his total game. He is clearly one of our best shooters.
John Mark Roller (6-1, So.) is a very strong, aggressive, and competitive athlete. He is respected by his teammates, even at young grade for his intense work ethic, character, and skill. A player that will be looking to play a bigger role this season is Elijah Haney (6-3, Jr.). He can play any position on the floor both defensively and offensively and he is a smart and versatile player. He leads the team in rebounding, and he can play inside and outside offensively.
Other Rams to watch for this season are Kien Robinson (5-9, Sr.), Tucker Phillipps (6-2, Jr.), Zeke Camp (6-3, Jr.), Drew Vande Brake (6-1, Jr.), Avin McGuire (6-0, Jr.), Sam Fite (5-9, Jr.), Ryan Wright (5-9, So.), Benton Manley (6-2, So.), Shea Smallwood (5-9, So.), Joby Greuel (6-1, So.), Isaac Coffin (6-1, So.), Sam Vue (6-1, So.), Aiden Turner (5-6, Fr.), Clay Mckinney (5- 9, Fr.), and Cole Brookover (5-9, Fr.).
