Every swimmer is working to improve their time in the pool. Owasso High School’s Caden Tyler has worked hard this season to help the Rams win meets. Only a sophomore, Tyler loves competing and representing Owasso.
“I’m a sophomore this year, but I have been competing for three years as a swimmer. This is my first year swimming for high school,” said Tyler. “My favorite memory this season is going under a minute [59.77] in the 100 fly. I love how energetic the team is and how there always so positive.”
Tyler also attends Youth Alive at Owasso High School, and he appreciates having the ability to compete and still be part of other activities at school.
“I love that I get the opportunity to have the experience in participating in a school sport and using my swimming abilities to help motivate my team to the next level in swim,” said Tyler. “My favorite subject is math, and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Bailey in math and Mr. Debella in English.”
One day Tyler would like to continue his swimming career at the next level.
“I would like to swim in college, but I don’t quite know what I want to go to school for yet,” said Tyler.
As for the team and what they can accomplish this season, Tyler said they are looking good and he’s confident they will continue to get better. Tyler will swim every stroke and race, but if he has his preference he would swim the 100 fly, any freestyle race, and the 200 individual medley.
In his free time Tyler said he likes to play board games, draw and of course swim.
