Edison’s Kaden Foster – Athlete Spotlight – Presented By Tulsa Tech

When a student begins their high school years, they know that it is close to time to start thinking about their future and what they want to do. Some students may have opportunities to help them decide or get a head start on a post-high school career. Kaden Foster is doing just that by attending Tulsa Tech while he is still in high school.

“I am in the Multimedia Design program at the Riverside Campus,” Foster said. “I enjoy the program and the instructors at Tech. It is a great place that is helping me figure out exactly what I want to do in the future.”
While Tech was not initially on his radar, once he heard about it and checked into it, he knew it was for him.

“I first heard about Tulsa Tech from a friend that went there,” he said. “I did some research and became interested in the creative programs. I really like the creative freedom aspect of the program.”

Kaden has some advice for anyone that is considering attending Tulsa Tech but is not sure.

“I would say find a program that fits their career path,” he said. “You won’t regret it.”
A senior at Thoms Edison Preparatory High School. He is a member of the school’s football and track teams. While he enjoys competing, he said that reaching his goals is what keeps him focused.

“I keep myself motivated by winning and wanting to win,” he said. “It takes hard work and a lot of practice, but it is all worth it when you win.”
Merle Ashley, track coach at Edison, says that along with being a good track athlete, Kaden is also an all-around great kid.

“Kaden has a good spirit and is well-liked by his teammates,” coach Ashley said. “He is a good student and works hard to get better on the track. Kaden is always at practice and rarely misses school. He is a good citizen in school and keeps his nose clean.”
