Tulsa Raising Canes Superfan 2022 Nominees

Caden Brassfield (Broken Arrow) – Caden has been instrumental in leading Jungle Squad as one of only four returning seniors this year. He has attended cross country meets, swim meets, football games, spirit competitions, basketball games, volleyball games and wrestling matches, among other events at Broken Arrow, all in support of his fellow Tigers. Caden is also one of only twenty-five students selected to be in the advanced leadership class at Broken Arrow High School.

Dylan Wilson (Catoosa) – Wilson is a senior and a great kid. While he does not play any sports, he attends every Catoosa athletic event to cheer on his school.

Carson Smith (Metro Christian) – Carson is the definition of spirit. Not only is he the student council spirit leader this year, but last year, he still stepped up and filled the void. He created the “Patriot Pound” which is the student section at sporting events and leads the students enthusiastically in various cheers and chants. Even though these qualities are important for a superfan, the best quality Carson has is integrity. Whether his school wins or loses, whether the refs make a good or seemingly poor call, Carson still leads with positivity. He does not support any kind of name-calling or inappropriate talk and understands that a superfan is not just about the wins; he’s about the team.

Annabelle White (Holland Hall) – Annabelle is one of the best athletes in the school, but she is without a doubt the most loyal in supporting all the athletic teams. She can be seen on the front row at volleyball, football and basketball games cheering on the teams decked out in the theme for the game. She loves Holland Hall sports and loves cheering on her friends. Annabelle is the ultimate teammate.

Jamie Bennett (Webster) – Jamie is a grandmother that took on her grandkids and all their activities. She doesn’t miss a single one of their events. Even if they aren’t playing, she is there to cheer on the Webster Middle and High school teams. She has been at almost every sporting event at Webster for the last four years. Sometimes she might be the only one in the stands. She doesn’t care, she isn’t there for friends, she is there to record all of Webster’s high and low moments. She is the first to sign up to help bring snacks or give rides to the kids that don’t have them.

Trace Wilson (Jenks) – Trace continually leads the Jenks student body with class, creativity, and enthusiasm. He was not only leading the student body to the 6A-I football championship, but also led the student body at the 6A Volleyball championship too. He creates videos for the social media site for fans to follow football game themes. Trace is a young man with a lot of social pressures and chooses to make the right decisions and lead by example.

Jaxon Ward (Foyil) – Jaxon attends all events for junior high & high school. Without cheerleaders, he starts chants and cheers that are positive and motivational for the student athletes. Great student who is attending Northeast Tech in Claremore for pre-engineering.

Kendall Varnell (Memorial) – He has been a vital part of the organizing of the student spirit group, the Memorial Maniacs. Without him, the group would not be successful. He does all sorts of things like pick out themes, send out group reminders and social media updates, lead chants, make posters for ages, etc.

Lucy George (Lincoln Christian) – Lucy did a great job in coordinating and bringing a high level of excitement to the football student section this year. She is highly involved in all of the student sections including, volleyball, football, and basketball. She has a great sense of school pride and really enjoys supporting the other teams at Lincoln Christian.

Grace Givens (Sapulpa) – Grace is a model student. She makes a positive impact with the work that she does in the classroom as well as in the various groups that she is involved in. She is a leader amongst her peers, and she has earned the respect of students and faculty alike.

Ethan Hayes (Union) – Ethan is an awesome kid and is a great supporter of Union athletics. He is a great representative of the school.

Christian Sanders (McLain) – Christian is a great kid who is determined to help McLain “Come Up.” He is always trying to rally his peers to do things and get involved. He makes great grades and always has a fantastic attitude!

Sydney is a a servant leader and is always finding ways to help others. She wants every student and organization at OHS to be successful.
