Sapulpa’s Cavin Peper Athlete Spotlight Presented by Creek County Farm Bureau

Cavin Peper

Sapulpa High School

The city of Sapulpa is known for being a tough town and producing tough wrestlers. That is the case for Cavin Peper, a senior and state placer for the Chieftains.

Last season Peper finished 3rd at state at 113-pounds and looks poised for another run at a state title this season. It appears Peper will stay at 113-pounds and with another year of experience, he will be one of the favorites.

“The goal this season is to go win state,” said Peper.

The team continues to improve as well with several key wrestlers back and a few new faces in the lineup that could help this team during duals.

“We have good team that’s willing to do everything possible to get better and win. What I love most about this team is how we’re a big family that will fight for each other,” said Peper.

Representing Sapulpa and his teammates is something Peper is proud to do. Being a student-athlete at Sapulpa is something Peper is thankful for. Peper participates in student leadership and said his favorite subject is math, while his favorite teacher is coach Holt.

“We have great teachers and coaches at SHS,” said Peper. “I plan on going to OU and study in the medical field.”

Away from sports, Peper said he enjoys spending time with friends and family.
