VYPE: Everett, how long have you played tennis and what or who got you started?

Fothergill: I’ve played tennis since freshman year. The thing that got me started was watching Wimbledon.

VYPE: What have you enjoyed most about the sport?

Fothergill: I enjoy the sportsmanship the game brings.

VYPE: Is there an area of your game you have improved the most this season?

Fothergill: My backhand has by far improved the most this season.

VYPE: What are you playing for the Sandites and what teammate has impressed you the most this season?

Fothergill: I am playing No. 2 singles. My teammate Boris Baker has impressed me this season by persevering through all his challenges.

VYPE: Do you have a favorite memory from this season?

Fothergill: My favorite memory is placing in all of the Lincoln Christian tournaments I’ve been in.

VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?

Fothergill: They are competitive with me which drives me to keep going.

VYPE: Are you involved in other clubs or groups at school?
Fothergill: I am involved in FFA and National Honor Society.

VYPE: What would you like to do after you graduate?

Fothergill: I would like to get a degree in business and then start a reality office. VYPE: When you have some free time, how do you like to spend it?  
Fothergill: I enjoy working on and selling cars.
