Coming off a 31-9 season that included the first ever state championship game in baseball, head coach Dean Wilson has the Commandoes focused on maintaining a high-level of standards the Cascia Hall program implemented on itself. Those standards include good reps in the cages, consistent pitching and making defense a priority.

The Commandoes graduated a few key players, but coach Wilson is confident the younger sluggers can step in and make a difference.

“After graduating a talented senior class that helped lead last year’s team to the first state championship game in program history, we will look to a large group of younger talent to continue the success we’ve had. We will return five players that started in last year’s state tournament, as well as several very talented underclassmen that will have to step up and be ready early. We feel that we still have the pieces to have success, we’ll just need to make sure everyone is acclimated to their new role by March 1st,” said Wilson.

Cooper Frazier (6-1, Jr.) makes his return after pitching 47.2 innings with 72 strikeouts and an ERA of 2.81 as a sophomore. Frazier will certainly be a key player in the pitching rotation, but you cannot overlook his prowess at the plate. Frazier carried a .323 batting average with a .435 OBP. He added 25 RBIs, 18 stolen bases and was named 1st Team All-District. He represented Team Tulsa in the Oklahoma State Games last season. Frazier threw four complete games and two no-hitters last season.

Another player turning heads is Hank Witte (6-1, Jr.). Witte is an infielder/catcher and hit .337 last season with a OBP of .439. Witte scored 30 runs, had 33 RBIs, 10 stolen bases and was 2nd Team All-District. Maxon Gipson (6-1, Fr.) is an exciting young talent added to the roster this season. Gipson is a right-handed pitcher and outfielder. Last year he was a PBR Junior Future Games participant with Team Oklahoma, ranked 14th overall for the class of 2027.

Barrett Mullen (6-0, So.) is another solid prospect and someone who can help the Commandoes immediately. The pitcher/infielder is ranked 9th at his position and should continue to improve and play solid ball.

A pair of seniors are on the roster as well. Cayden Soderboom (5-11, Sr.), and Jaden Mitchell (5-9, Sr.) bring experience to the lineup. Soderboom will see time at catcher and first base, while Mitchell will play the infield. Soderboom is known for his work ethic and leads by example.

Other players to watch include Evan Coles (6-0, Jr.), Kohen Hudson-Leggett (6-1, Jr.), Chris Kutmas (6-3, Jr.), Charlie Stanford (5-11, Jr.), Spencer Meadows (5-9, So.), Brooks Vincent (5-9, So.), Memphis Duffie (6-1, Fr.), and Jacob Toppins (6-0, Fr.).
