Catoosa’s Jessica Replogle – Basketball Spotlight – Presented by Catoosa Flowers

Athletes work hard to be at the top of their game. And behind every high school athlete, you will find a parent that is supporting, encouraging, and cheering on their children. Jessica Replogle is there for her kids and does whatever needs to be done to help them.

“I’m usually hauling them to practice or games every day of the week,” she said. “I’m always in the stands, bleachers or sideline. They know when they look over at the sideline or in the stands I will be there. I enjoy watching them more than anything.”

Jessica is the mother of three. Maddux Replogle is a sophomore basketball player at Wright City. Tinsley Mitchell is a sophomore at Catoosa High School, where she plays basketball, soccer, and volleyball for the Indians. And Sloane Replogle is a first grader and plays basketball and soccer.

As a former athlete, Jessica knows that you learn a lot more from sports than just how to play the game. There are a lot of life lessons that come along with it as well.

“Sports teaches children many things but most importantly I believe they learn to work with others, their teammates, and take direction from coaches,” she said. “Having the responsibility to a team and coach now teaches them how to handle situations, overcome obstacles and enjoy their accomplishments. Most of all, they are only young once. When their senior year is up I want them to say they were happy they participated and are thankful for the relationships, memories and lessons they learned along the way.”

When she is not cheering on her kids, Replogle has other ways she spends her time.

“I’m a florist at Catoosa Flowers and part-time office manager at JB Metal Fabrication,” Jessica stated. “In my free time I’m usually designing something and building anything.  I love working on a house project, designing/building something or anything I can. Mostly using my creativity to create spaces that I enjoy being in. In some capacity, I am involved in Volleyball Booster Club and Lady Indians Tip-In Club.”

Jessica is a graduate of Catoosa High School and she says that the community is always supportive and there for each other.

“This year has been especially challenging for our family and our community and school has been so supportive. I know when the kids go to school there are people that love them and care about them and look out for them in so many ways. Some of the teachers I’ve known my entire life and are what I consider family and friends that just happen to teach my kids too! I had a wonderful experience at Catoosa and am so happy and relieved that my children can experience the family that it is.”
