Collinsville’s Lilly Thomas shares her favorite part of being on a team – Presented by Redbud Physical Therapy

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life? 

Lilly: It has taught me how to work with people and how to be disciplined in everyday life.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?  

Lilly: My favorite part about being on a team is the bonds that I’ve formed with my teammates and the endless memories that I will never forget.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Lilly: I am passionate about my sport because of how much I enjoy the opportunity to play and better myself every day. 

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Lilly: My high school coach, Jennifer Christian inspires me because of how she always puts everyone before herself and is always there for all her players 

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Lilly: Success doesn’t happen overnight.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Lilly: The teammate who has left the biggest impression on me is Ema Salazar because she has become my best friend and despite everything she has been through she always pushes herself to work hard. 

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Lilly: Steak, mashed potatoes, corn, and bread rolls. 

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Lilly: I would go to Bora Bora and I would take my teammates and coaches. 

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Lilly: I want to give a big shoutout to all of my high school and club soccer teammates and coaches for always being there for me and pushing me to better myself as a player and person.
