Owasso Area Players to Watch – Presented by Oklahoma Driving School

BASEBALL
Brett Petty – Catoosa
Brett is a great kid that is not afraid to put in the work. He is a leader on and off the field and looks to have a big season.

Colton Hollenbeck – Collinsville
Colton will be a 3 year starter behind the plate for the Cardinals. Last year he hit .454 with 13 doubles and 32 RBI’s as a middle of the order guy. Coaches expect Colton to continue doing what he does as a leader behind the plate and a middle of the order guy that produces for the offense.

Jax Burchett – Oologah-Talala
Jax can play infield, outfield, and pitch. He will help Oologah in many different situations this year.

Jackson Farrell – Owasso
Farrell is a hard worker that does whatever he can to help his team be successful. He is an outstanding athlete and a great leader.

Josh Rimpley – Skiatook
Josh exemplifies everything that you want in a player. He is a leader and works extremely hard at improving his game. He is someone we will rely on to get his team where they want to go.

SOCCER
Irelynd Shew – Catoosa
Irelynd is a fierce competitor and talented attacking player. She is very committed to the game and is improving all-around every season. She is a sophomore and will be looking to improve upon her freshman season, where she tallied 13 goals and was one of the Lady Indians’ captains and named team MVP and All-District.

Caydee LeClercq – Collinsville
A solid player, Caydee loves the game of soccer and it shows when she is on the field. She works hard to be at her best any time she competes.

Layney Molini –
Oologah-Talala
Layney is a junior and has scored 35 goals and 28 assists during her two years of high school soccer. She has tremendous speed, unbelievable skills, and can strike a great ball. She has the ability to know how to score goals. One key for her is her competitiveness and her desire to not lose at anything. She works harder than anyone and will not quit no matter what the situation is. She has already committed to play soccer at Texas Tech.

Elizabeth Passwaters – Owasso
Passwaters will be a key player for the Lady Rams this season. She has the ability and skill and is a solid player. She looks to have a really good season.

Hunter Howell –
Skiatook
Hunter was the Bulldogs’ leading scorer and primary playmaker during the 2023 season as a sophomore, and he continued to improve in the offseason. Hunter is a consummate soccer player, demonstrating tactical awareness, unparalleled skill, a high level of motivation, and strong sportsmanship.

Trinity Sickler – Skiatook
Trinity, who is a three year starter on varsity, had not played soccer until her freshman year. She picked it up pretty well and has only improved over the last few years. The last two years, Trinity has really kept the team in some games. She has made some crucial saves in the last few minutes of games and has come in clutch more than once in penalty kick situations.
