Destiny Jones
Skiatook High School
The No. 4 ranked wrestler in the state at 100-pounds is Skiatook High School’s Destiny Jones. Jones is a senior this year and is looking forward to having a shot at making state and finding her way to the podium.

“I’m a senior and I have been wrestling for six years. My goal this season is to win state this year,” said Jones.

The team is coming together well, and Jones is excited to see what they can accomplish.
“The team is coming together great and I’m excited to see where it goes,” said Jones. Jones has pride in being a student-athlete at Collinsville High School.

“I love how it’s a small school, and everyone knows everyone. I love how they cheer me up when I’m upset,” said Jones.

When she has some free time, Jones said she enjoys going into the youth wrestling club’s practice and helping the younger generation of wrestlers get better and grow a love for the sport.

Jones said in the classroom, her favorite subject is history, and her favorite teacher is Mrs. Souls. After graduation, Jones plans to continue her education and wrestling career at the University of Saint Mary’s.

As for her downtime?
“I enjoy sleeping and watching Netflix in my free time,” said Jones.
