Hi, what are you looking for?

Bixby

Getting To Know Bixby’s Adia Able – Presented By The Orthopaedic Center

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Adia: My goal for the season is to come back stronger from my fractured hip injury and to help my girls win state!

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Adia: In soccer you have to have team chemistry and good communication to succeed. I believe soccer has made me more outgoing, which has helped me make so many relationships with a variety of people!

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Adia: Although I have been online these last two years, my favorite teachers are all from Madison Middle School. My home room teacher, Mrs. B Miller, our principal, Mr. Edison, and my P.E. coach, Blain, had a big impact on me till this day. They all helped me become way more outgoing and confident!

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Adia: My mom inspires me because she has worked so hard so we can be where we are at right now! She taught me how to be independent, to always work hard, and treat everyone and everything with respect. Good karma goes a long way!

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Adia: A single teammate hasn’t left a big impression on me, but from all of the people I’ve met I believe every single one has helped me one by one to keep going!

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Adia: My favorite part about being on a team is the bonds you make. Most of the time people are on teams for years and they see the same people about 3-5 times a week. Having those teammates who also experience the ups and downs throughout the season helps you mentally by knowing you’re not in this alone.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Adia: I would want to go anywhere with a beach, preferably Jamaica. I would want to take my hometown friend that I’ve known since 4th grade.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Adia: I’m passionate about soccer because I want to make a career out of it. My dream is not to become a pro but rather working in soccer by being a physical therapist or nutritionist!

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Adia: I want to thank my parents for always being supportive, I want to especially thank my mom for how much she sacrificed so I can have every opportunity to succeed!

I also want to thank all of the coaches I have had throughout my 13 years of soccer, every single coach has made an impact on my soccer career from youth rec league all the way to varsity soccer and ECNL level!
