Getting to know Bixby’s Conner Eidson – Presented by Dental Arts of Bixby

VYPE: What are your goals this season?
Conner: My goals for this golf season is to do well in regionals this year and have our team compete for a state title.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Conner: Golf has taught me a number of things, including patience and learning to get back up after a bad hole and not let it hurt the remainder of the round.

VYPE: What does your team mean to you?
Conner: I’ve grown up with these guys so to be able to compete at a high level with them is something I wouldn’t change for the world.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Conner: I’ve always looked up to Rory mcilroy when it comes to golfing, as it seems like he is always in contention to win and works so hard to achieve his goals.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Conner: I would say that all of my teammates have played a role in my career as they all bring something different to the table that inspires me to be my best.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Conner: Being on a team with this group of guys has been a blast but what I will miss and what was my favorite parts were the bus rides with the team and seeing my teammates succeed is something I will never take for granted.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do
you take with you?
Conner: I would go to Scotland with a group of buddies and my dad and play St. Andrews as it’s the oldest golf course in the world.

VYPE: What is the best advice you have ever received?
Conner: The best advice I have ever received in my life was to go for your goals and to not let anyone slow you down.

Conner: I would like to thank everyone who has ever supported me, including my past golf coach, Glenn Sullivan, for encouraging me to keep going after golf when he saw my potential in me. Thanks to my parents for always believing in me and providing me with everything I needed to be successful in my sports. You guys are the best. Lastly, to my teammates, for always having my back and making memories that’ll last a lifetime.
