Q&A with Bixby’s Savannah Duran – Presented by Sun and Ski Sports

VYPE: What goals do you have for this year?
Savannah: Some goals I have for this season would be to really influence the
underclassmen and show them what the softball program is really about, so when we leave they can step into our shoes!

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Savannah: My sport has taught me that it doesn’t matter how much you work it matters how hard you work and I use this in my daily life!

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Savannah: My favorite teacher is Mr. Apodaca, my 6th grade teacher at Kingston
Elementary. He taught me so many life lessons that I still live by today!

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Savannah: My parents inspire me everyday, they’ve influenced me to be the best person I could possibly be!

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Savannah: My teammate Hayden Buggy Byrne has left the biggest impression on me, no matter what the circumstances are she always finds a way to be positive and bring out the best in people!

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Savannah: My favorite part about being on a team is the friendships you make along the way.

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.
Savannah: The best athlete in my family is definitely my brother, Caidan. He’s played
sports all his life and he’s just naturally athletic.

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?
Savannah: I wish I could play basketball.

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?
Savannah: Any song from the Let it Shine soundtrack!
