Zander Grigsby

Charles Page High School

Charles Page High School senior Zander Grigsby is a member of the varsity wrestling team and will compete at 165-pounds this season.

Grigsby said the team is focused and working hard to live up to the expectations for wrestling in Sand Springs.

“The team is coming together great. I feel we are closer as a team than ever before. My goal is to get our team the recognition we deserve, as well as get a state title,” said Grigsby.

For Grigsby, there are many reasons why he loves being a student and a wrestler at Charles Page High School. His teammates and friends are two big reasons CPHS will always mean something to the senior.

“What I love most about being a student at CPHS, is the people that surround me. I love my teammates is how close we are, and how we are still friends outside the room,” said Grigsby.\

In the classroom, Grigsby is like many of his peers. He works hard to maintain his grades and he has a few favorites.

“My favorite subject would have to be math. My favorite teacher was my sophomore-junior year math teacher, Mrs. Graves,” said Grigsby.

When his time at CPHS comes to an end, Grigsby said he will likely go into field work, but for now he’s focused on making the most of every opportunity with the wrestling team.

When he’s not on the mat, you can usually find Grigsby spending time with friends and family or lifting weights.
