Sarah Barbee Fired up for Softball Season – Presented by Judge Hartin Oklahoma Farm Bureau Insurance

Sarah Barbee

Bixby High School

Bixby High School junior Sarah Barbee is a two-sport athlete and a member of National Honor Society. Barbee pitches for the softball team and she’s a thrower for the track team. Competing is in her blood.

“Something that makes playing for Bixby special is the environment and energy the players and coach bring,” said Barbee. “The team is looking really good this slow pitch season. We have a lot of talent in this group, and everyone is super hard working.”

The chemistry on the team could be the X-factor for the season.

“I love their energy. No matter what the score is or how we are playing, everyone is cheering and being loud for the team,” said Barbee.

Barbee is quick to mention her teammates and what it means to be a student-athlete at Bixby High School.

“Buggy Byrne is definitely the first player that pops into mind when thinking of someone who keeps the team having a good time. She is super energetic and makes sure everyone is being included in everything,” said Barbee. “What I love most about being a student-athlete at Bixby HS is pitching. I love having the experience to work hard and do my best, not only for me, but for my team too.”

Barbee said she would like to continue her playing career in college.
“I would like to continue my softball career in college and study Physical Therapy,” said Barbee.

In her free time, Barbee said she is either hanging out with my sister Shay or practice softball.
