Q&A with Union’s Erik Villalobos – Presented By Raising Cane’s

VYPE: What sport do you play and how long have you played?

Erik: I play soccer and I’ve played it my whole life.


VYPE: Why are you passionate about soccer?

Erik: I’m so passionate about soccer because I have played it my whole life. I have been in love with the sport since a young age.


VYPE: What has sports taught you that you use in your daily life?

Erik: Soccer has taught me many things like work ethic, discipline, respect, and many more things that I use daily.


VYPE: What is your favorite part of playing on a team?

Erik: My favorite part of being on a team is the friendships you make forever, memories, and just spending time with the team.


VYPE: What professional athlete do you look up to and why?

Erik: I look up to Messi because I admire the way he played at a young age, taking on so many players by himself, and scoring magnificent goals.


VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher and why?

Erik: My favorite teacher would be Ms. Gaytan. She is the reason I looked into college. She advised me to look for a good career.


VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your school as an athlete?

Erik: My favorite part of representing my high school as an athlete is the pride and joy that comes from putting on the jersey before a game.


VYPE: What is your favorite meal?

Erik: My favorite meal would be my dad’s homemade food. His tacos are the best.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Erik: My dad inspires me. Despite not having any school education he still fights and works very hard.
