VYPE: What is your biggest motivation?
Avien: The enjoyment of playing the sport, the challenge of the competition, and reaching new personal goals. And being the best athlete possible.

VYPE: What teacher has had the biggest impact on your life?
Avien: Coach Clev because he always stays positive in every situation and he’s a great coach.

VYPE: What has it taken to be successful in your sports?
Avien: Hard work and determination. Working even when others aren’t.

VYPE: Is there an opponent that you enjoy beating the most?
Avien: I enjoy beating Cushing the most.

VYPE: Which teammate do you enjoy working against the most in practice?
Avien: Gunner Wilson because he pushes me to be the best.

VYPE: Who is your favorite person you follow on social media?
Avien: ESPN

VYPE: What does it mean to you to represent your school and community when you play?
Avien: It is a great honor to represent my school and community. There is a long tradition of pride. I hope to be a role model to the ones who are coming up and to honor the ones before me.

VYPE: What has been the highlight moment of your career?
Avien: Being a high school state placer as a freshman.

Avien: I would like to thank my parents and my coaches for always having my back and providing everything I need to succeed now and in the future
