Hi, what are you looking for?

Catoosa

Catoosa’s Sutton Woods talks about his favorite teacher – Presented by Market 66 Chowhouse

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Sutton: My goals for this season are to develop my game on a daily basis, and for my team to make the state tournament.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Sutton: This sport has taught me to not listen to other people’s opinions, and just put your head down and work. Hard work pays off in any aspect of your life.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Sutton: My favorite teacher is Coach Drake. He is someone that we can all joke around with, and be serious with at the same time. He always picks us up when we are struggling, and holds us accountable when we mess up, and I feel like everyone needs a Coach Drake.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Sutton: Kobe Bryant inspires me. His work ethic is unmatched, his love for the game is unmatched, and there will never be another Kobe.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Sutton: The teammate  that has  left the biggest impact on me would be Chris Brown. His energy is contagious and he always holds us accountable.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Sutton: My favorite part of being on a team is the memories we make on a daily basis, and how we treat each other like family.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Sutton: If I can pick anywhere to go on a summer vacation, I would pick the Bahamas. I would take my friends, and spend every minute on the beach.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Sutton: I’m passionate about basketball, because of how it taught me that hard work pays off, and others opinions don’t mean anything. Basketball has taught me that at the end of the day, it’s me vs. me, and no one else can change or affect that.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Sutton: I wanna give a huge shoutout to my parents. They’ve been with me every step of the way and supporting me, taking me to early workouts, practices etc. They never have  missed a game. They take me everywhere for my AAU tournaments, and they are always there for me no matter what.
