Hi, what are you looking for?

Catoosa

Catoosa’s Tray Freeman shares his goals – Presented by Dental Arts of Catoosa

VYPE: What are your goals for this season?

Tray: One of my goals is helping get the team to and past districts, but my main goal is to just have a good time with the team throughout my last year of baseball in high school.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Tray: Baseball has taught me that failing is part of life and sometimes you fail more often than others, but it’s okay as long as you bounce back.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Tray: My favorite teacher is Mr. Cheves. He has been with me throughout my whole high school career. He’s always been in my corner and is just a great person to have there.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Tray: There are many people who inspire me but my dad inspires me the most. He has always done everything he could to put me in a spot to succeed and make me a better person all together.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Tray: A teammate that left a big impression on me was Brock Gray. He was our varsity catcher my freshman year and helped me adjust to high school baseball a lot. He always pushed me to the furthest limit I could go and that made me the player I am today.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Tray: My favorite part about being on this team is you never know what you’re gonna get with them. It’s a rollercoaster sometimes but it’s all been worth it.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Tray: If I have to pick any place to go on vacation I’m definitely going to Panama City Beach. I’m taking my family with me.

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Tray: I’m passionate about my sport because it’s always been a place where I could just go and not have to worry about anything else. It was one of those things where you get back what you put in, and it’s treated me very well.

VYPE: Here is your chance to say hello, goodbye or thank you to anyone you wish.

Tray: I just want to thank my dad, mom, Coach Ellis, Matt Whatley, and Mr. Cheves for always being there for me and pushing me to be the best athlete I possibly could be. I also want to thank all of my past and present teammates who have pushed me as well.
