BOYS
Coach: Todd Anderson
20-21 Record: 6-11

Head coach Todd Anderson has been at Collinsville for a decade, and he said this year’s team will return eight of their top 10 players. “We will rely on our upperclassmen to lead the way,” Anderson said. Those upperclassmen are Cooper McDowell (6-1, Sr.) who Anderson called a “great three-point shooter,” averaged 12.0 points per game last season; Jacob Syrkels (6-2, Sr.) who Anderson said was an athletic guard and selected to the first team All-Metro Lakes as a junior. Syrkels averaged 15 points and 7.0 rebounds per contest last year. Chayse Schloman (6-1, Sr.) at point averaged 6.0 points with 4.0 assists while Oscar Hamond (6-4, Sr.) at forward accounted for 6.0 points and 5.0 rebounds a game. Cameron Himebaugh (6-5, Sr.) will look to contribute at forward. Brad Meacham (6-3, Jr.) will play guard and Zack Brown (6-6, So.) will be the big man down low. Brown made big improvements over the summer and has developed a nice touch around the basket.

GIRLS
Coach: Janson Hightower
20-21 Record: 6-12

After a down season last year, Collinsville head coach Janson Hightower said this year’s club had several players returning and looking to make a difference. “This year’s squad returned four starters and some key reserves to make up a group with lots of experience and potential,” he said. “From what the coaches have seen this summer at team camp, and so far in practice, the Cardinals look to compete at a high level this season.” The floor general for the Cardinals will be Segen Henley (5-2, Sr.) at point guard. Henley averaged 4.3 points, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals a game last year. Abby Stamper (5-5, Jr.) is an all-conference returning guard who averaged 13.1 points per game. At guard or forward is Liz Thomas (5-9, Sr.) who averaged 9.5 points last season at Oologah and rounding out the forward spots are Brie Smith (5-10, So.), Carley White (5-10, Sr.), Lexi Gregory (5-9, Sr.), and Riley White (5-10, Sr.). Smith averaged 7.3 points and 3.0 rebounds a game while C. White pitched in 4.0 points and 5.3 rebounds with one blocked shot per contest. The rest of the young ladies will sub in at guard, and are Makayla Meadows (5-4, Jr.), Addison Wickman (5-4, Sr.), and Grace Gift (5-8, Jr.). Wickman is an excellent defender with Meadows.
