Owasso’s 5 Players Flying Under the Radar this Winter – Presented by Green Country Business Solutions

Check out these players who are expected to have great seasons this winter.

Anson Harbaugh – Basketball
Known for his work ethic in games and in practice, Anson Harbaugh will play a big role on the basketball team this season, taking some of the heat off other players with his physical presence in the post. According to coach Montonati, Harbaugh will anchor the defense and be a key player on the boards at both ends of the court.

Katelyn McGhee – Swimming
With several key upperclassmen on the swim team, it may be easy to overlook a talented sophomore who could help this team in many ways this season. Katelyn McGhee can swim in any event with a specialty in the 200 IM and the 100 Fly. It will be interesting to see where McGhee is with her times by the end of the season.

Alex McGarrah – Basketball

There are plenty of big names on the basketball team, but one you should get to know is Alex McGarrah. A senior guard for the Lady Rams, McGarrah can play point guard or shooting guard with the ability to attack the rim. Also known as a tough player, McGarrah continues to show her defensive skill set.

Amarion Tease – Basketball
A versatile player for the Lady Rams, Amarion Tease has the skill set to play the 3 or the 4. According to coach Woodward, Tease “has improved her inside finishes along with ball handling skills.” Expectations are high for Tease coming into the season and those close to the program say she will be one of the stars of the team.

Kannon Moseley – Wrestling
The girl’s wrestling team at Owasso is growing and the numbers are up. One wrestler looking to make an impact her team is Kannon Moseley. The senior was voted as a captain last year even though it was her first year wrestling. Coach Morsey said of Moseley, “she brings great energy and effort into the practice room. She is also a great leader in the weight room and is our strongest girl with a 285-pound deadlift.”
