Owasso’s Brody Green – Owasso Area Athlete – Presented by

By Ember McElrath

Owasso High School Ram Brody Green is in his senior year at the school. He leads an active school life as a member of the book club and plays shortstop for the baseball team.

“Sports are everything to me,” said Brody. “It is another family outside of your own and it is just a great place to be.”

Brody got into baseball by playing tee ball at four year and hasn’t stopped loving the game ever since. Even though he has a great passion and love for baseball he knows he wouldn’t get the opportunity to play if it was not for school.

“School is always ahead of baseball no matter what and it has been like that from the beginning,” said Brody. “My mom and dad have always reminded me of that.”

When school gets overwhelming or baseball gets difficult Brody remembers the good times and he keeps on moving forward.

“Just remember the good that happened before and I try and remind myself that I will get back to it,” Brody said.

Sometimes the best part of a sport can also be the most difficult at times and that is just how Brody feels about hitting.

“My favorite part of the game is hitting; even though it can be the most frustrating at times,” Brody said.

If Brody ever needs some life inspiration he can always look toward his amazing parents and for all things baseball related he looks to the third baseman for the St. Lois Cardinals, Nolan Arenado.

When Brody manages to find some free time in his busy schedule he enjoys spending time with his friends playing video games and hitting the trails on his mountain bike.

After high school Brody plans on attending Texas Christian University where he will play baseball while earning a degree in business.
