Owasso’s Reagan Plank – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Tour Quality Golf

Precision and determination are just two of the keys to being successful at golf. For Owasso High School’s Reagan Plank, such skills come with ease. Reagan plays first bag on the Owasso High School Varsity Girl’s Golf Team, and this fall, Reagan will be a junior at Owasso High School.

In terms motivates her, Reagan stated, “I am very competitive and beating my own personal par motivates me. A great shot or a great round always motivates me to do even better at golf.”

In order to have reached the level of success as a golfer, Reagan accounted, “It has taken a lot of practice, hard work, and support from others. It takes dedication to practice and to continue to put in the work. I have had lots of help along the way and could never have done this on my own.”

Many memories are made in high school sports. When asked about a top memory, Reagan did not hesitate, and stated, “The highlight moment of my career so far was getting to play in a Pro-Am with Pauline Roussin-Bouchard. It was cool to hear about her journey to the LPGA and how her rookie year was going. It was a super amazing experience and winning the women’s longest drive contest and our team winning the tournament topped it all off.”

Most high school athletes have a role model that inspires them. For Reagan, she looks to family as the source. Reagan stated, “My biggest role models are my parents because they set a great example for me and always support me. They encourage me to do the right thing and to be a better person.”

Off the golf course, Reagan participates in numerous activities.  Reagan stated, “At school, I am involved in NHS, student council, and theatre. Outside of school, I am involved in the First Tee of Tulsa, and I volunteer at my church and other community organizations.”

Reagan plans on continuing her education after high school, Reagan stated, “After high school, my plans are to play college golf and major in elementary education.”
