Hi, what are you looking for?

Owasso

Q&A with Owasso’s Anson Harbaugh – Presented by  J-P Hogan Insurance

VYPE: What goals do you have for this year in basketball?

Anson: Two words – GOLD BALL❗️

VYPE: What has basketball taught you that you use in your daily life?

Anson: To push myself through adversity, to be the best I can be through whatever hardship comes my direction.  This has made me a much stronger individual on the court as well as in life.

VYPE: What’s your favorite style of shoe to wear in game?

Anson: I wear any brand I can find in my size. It’s difficult to find my big size, so I take what I can get. Shake Milton, who plays with the Timberwolves, gave me some shoes, and they are my favorite so far!

VYPE: What do you think is the biggest challenge in basketball?

Anson: Putting your own wants aside and doing whatever is asked of you and whatever it takes for your team to be successful.

VYPE: What do you think makes a great basketball player?

Anson: Team mentality and seeing the court.  It’s a “we” not “me” game.

VYPE: Who in your family is the best athlete? Explain.

Anson: Me! Although…My oldest brother has a State Championship ring for golf, and my middle brother plays at the University of Notre Dame. I still feel I can take both of the bros one on one!

VYPE: What’s one sport you wish you could play that you don’t already play?

Anson: Football and baseball – I used to play, but specialized in basketball.

VYPE: What’s your go-to pregame song?

Anson: “For What It’s Worth”
