Q&A with Skiatook’s Braylee Tiger – Presented by Rib Crib

VYPE: What are your goals this season in cheer, both personally and as a team?
Braylee: My goal for me personally this cheer season is to make the best of my senior year
cheering. To cherish every last moment I get to step on that field or court. The goals I have
for my team this season is for us all to become as united and closer than ever before. For us
to work best together we need to become closer on a level beyond cheer.
VYPE: Where do you feel like you’ve improved the most going into this year?
Braylee: I believe I have improved most this year in procrastination. I naturally
procrastinate regularly and went into this year knowing I needed to change that. Although
it is early on I have stuck to this and have begun working on my work and or whatever
needs done earlier on in the week instead of the day before or day off.

VYPE: What are your strengths and what have you improved on the most over the
course of your high school career?
Braylee: I believe my strengths include working with others and leading people when
possible. I think that high school has helped me improve on my strength to not be scared to
lead. Sometimes all it takes is one person to step up for others to follow. High school has
shown me how true this is and that having the strength to be a leader is a good trait to
have.

VYPE: What’s your most memorable cheer moment during your high school career?
Braylee: My most memorable cheer moment is competing in regionals with my cheer team
or dancing around during the third quarter with my team.
VYPE: Who has been your biggest influence and why when it comes to cheer?
Braylee: My biggest influence when it comes to cheer is definitely my two coaches. Coach
Branscum and Mrs Fortino. They both push me everyday to be better and work my hardest
in and outside of cheer. Without them I truly do not think I would be the person I am today.
VYPE: What are your plans after high school (college, work, etc)?
Braylee: I plan to attend college but have not decided which university yet. I plan to go to
nursing school and one day work as a NICU nurse.
VYPE: What are some of your achievements?
Braylee: I have maintained a gpa of 3.95 or above my whole high school career. I have
actively participated in many organizations including student council, FCCLA, junior
chamber, and NHS throughout high school. In cheer I was selected as an all American
cheerleader this year at cheer camp which is a big accomplishment for me!
