Skiatook’s Tommy Roberson – Soccer Spotlight – Presented by RibCrib

Tommy Roberson

Skiatook High School

Entering his third year of high school soccer, Tommy Roberson has spent the last 12 years in the sport. Now a junior, Roberson is looking forward to taking the field with his teammates.

“I enjoy having fun playing with my favorite sport with my friends and the social skills gained from being in a team. My team is very supportive and helps teach the freshman or anybody struggling,” said Roberson.

According to Roberson, early practices are showing some real promise with the Bulldogs this season.

“Of course, we want to play good soccer, but our overall goal is to make it to playoffs this year. The team is coming together great, and we have a lot of chemistry this year. Planning on a good season,” said Roberson. “I believe that the part of my game that has improved the most would be my leadership ability. I have been able to lead and encourage my team much more this year.”

Away from soccer, Roberson is a member of Student Council, National Honor Society, and serves as an officer in FCCLA. His favorite subject is science, and he is looking forward to attending college.

“My favorite subject is science, and my favorite teacher is Mrs. Prock. I would like to go to college for marine biology and hopefully soccer too,” said Roberson.

Roberson said he enjoys hanging out with friends, working out, and playing video games when he’s not competing or working on his schoolwork.
