Processed with VSCO with dog3 preset

Wrigley Adkisson is a junior at Sapulpa High School and a member of the varsity basketball team. Adkisson can play multiple positions for head coach Darlene Calip including shooting guard and small forward. The junior said she loves everything about being a student- athlete at SHS.

“I love that our coaches, teachers, and administrators are supportive of our sporting events and our academics at the same time,” said Adkisson.
The goal this season for the Lady Chieftains is the same as every year and for Adkisson and her teammates, settling in and being prepared for the long season is part of the fun.

“This goal is to win another state championship. I feel like doing well, and we are all finding our new rolls on the team. I like that we bond on and off the court,” said Adkisson.

Away from the court, Adkisson is a member of National Honor Society and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

“My favorite subject in school is Chemistry, and AP Language and my favorite teacher is Coach Lusk,” said Adkisson.

The future Class of 2025 graduate said she would like to play basketball in college while continuing her education.

When she has free time, it’s usually spent babysitting and shopping.
Good luck to Adkisson and her Lady Chieftain teammates as they look to add more
hardware to the trophy cabinet this season.
